Two years after Bruce Wayne (played by Robert Pattinson) became Batman in Gotham City, criminals were frightened, and he was deeply exposed to the dark side of Gotham City. He lurked in Gotham City’s corrupt political and celebrity networks, with only a few trusted allies around him-butler Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and James Gordon Sheriff (Jeffrey Wright). This lone “Vigilante Detective” has become the most synonymous with the word “revenge” in the hearts of Gotham citizens.
“The Batman” is a 2022 American superhero film directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie serves as a reboot of the Batman franchise and features a younger and more vulnerable version of the iconic superhero.
In the film, Bruce Wayne is still in the early years of his crime-fighting career as Batman, and is struggling to deal with the trauma of his parents’ murder. He must also confront a new and dangerous threat in the form of the Riddler (played by Paul Dano), a sadistic and brilliant criminal who is terrorizing Gotham City with a series of elaborate puzzles and traps. Along the way, Batman also encounters several other iconic characters from the Batman comics, including Catwoman (played by Zoë Kravitz), the Penguin (played by Colin Farrell), and Commissioner Jim Gordon (played by Jeffrey Wright).
“The Batman” has received positive reviews from critics, who have praised its dark and gritty tone, as well as Pattinson’s performance as Batman. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $840 million worldwide. It has also been praised for its use of practical effects and stunts, as well as its attention to detail in portraying the world of Batman. Despite some controversy surrounding the film’s portrayal of certain characters and themes, “The Batman” has been generally well-received by fans of the Batman franchise and the superhero genre as a whole.
