The story follows Belle, a young woman who is taken captive by a beast in his enchanted castle as a tradeoff for her father’s freedom. Despite her fears, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff, including a teapot, a candelabra, and a clock, and eventually learns to see the humanity in the Beast beneath his exterior. As Belle and the Beast fall in love, they must also contend with the machinations of the jealous and self-absorbed Gaston, who seeks to win Belle’s affections by any means necessary.
