In 1973, Wolverine must team up with a younger Charles Xavier (McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Fassbender) to prevent Mystique (Lawrence) from assassinating scientist Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), who developed the technology that allowed the creation of the Sentinels.
