The obvious blue veins in the body may be caused by physiological factors; it may also be caused by pathological factors, such as muscle strain and varicose veins.
1. Physiological factors
People’s subcutaneous fat layer is thinner, the skin is whiter, and the blood vessels are clearer, so the blue veins appear more obvious. In addition, when the weather is hot, the acceleration of blood after exercise will cause the blood vessels to dilate, and the veins will protrude, which usually manifests as obvious blue veins in the body.
2. Pathological factors
1. Muscle strain
When a person’s muscles are strained, it will cause blue veins to protrude, which means that the body needs to rest. Prominent blue veins in different parts indicate different problems. Workers or farmers often use their hands. When the veins on the back of the hands protrude, it means that the muscles of the body are tired and there will be soreness. If blue veins appear in the neck for a long time, it means that the patient may have cervical spondylosis.
2. Varicose veins
Clinical experience shows that if there are blue veins protruding from the lower limbs, abdomen and back of the body, we must pay attention to it. It is very likely to be caused by varicose veins, implying the blockage of blood vessels in the body. The patient’s superficial blood vessels are like earthworms, with varicose protrusions protruding from the skin, and the varicose veins are in the form of lumps or nodules.
If the above symptoms appear, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital for treatment in time. After the cause is clarified, treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
