Movie Synopsis
In 3067 BC, Emperor Scorpion (“The Rock” Locke Dwayne Johnson ornaments) led his army to conquer the world, but his ambitions were frustrated in the seven-year war, and his remnants entered the sacred Om. Thanks to the desert, the harsh environment caused the once brave warriors to die one after another. The dying Scorpion Emperor dedicated his soul to Anubis, the god of death, in order to defeat his enemies. After that, the Scorpion Emperor and the Death Army from hell were invincible, and the Death Army that had won a great victory also fell asleep underground again.
In Egypt in 1933, Rick Okconnor (Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) took their son Erics (Fry Fry) Dee Booth (Freddie Boath) returns to this place and finds the bracelet of Emperor Scorpion. At the same time, another group of mysterious organizations found the body of the evil pharaoh Imott, and they needed the bracelet to revive Imott. The battle for good and evil for the bracelet started immediately, and the Ricks had to face a new round of fantasy adventure…

“The Mummy Returns” is a 2001 action-adventure film directed by Stephen Sommers and starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It is the sequel to the 1999 film “The Mummy” and follows the adventures of Rick O’Connell and his family as they try to stop the evil High Priest Imhotep from resurrecting his lover Anck-su-Namun and conquering the world.

The film is set in 1933, ten years after the events of the first film. Rick and Evelyn O’Connell are now married and have a son named Alex. They discover a bracelet that can bring back the Scorpion King, an ancient warrior who sold his soul to the god Anubis in exchange for an army. If the Scorpion King is resurrected, he will be unstoppable and will destroy the world. Imhotep and his new ally, the sorceress Lock-Nah, also seek the bracelet so they can bring back Anck-su-Namun.

The film features several action-packed set pieces, including a thrilling battle on a double-decker bus in London and a spectacular showdown between Rick and the Scorpion King. The film also introduces several new characters, including the mysterious Ardeth Bay, the warrior queen Nefertiri, and the powerful warrior Mathayus, who later becomes The Rock’s character in the spin-off movie “The Scorpion King”.

Despite mixed reviews, “The Mummy Returns” was a box office success, grossing over $435 million worldwide. It was followed by another sequel, “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”, in 2008.
