Amanda (Viola Davis), as the leader of a government secret agency, is determined to activate a group of prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment in the face of the endless violent terrorist attacks in society. The supervillains, they are Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Vengeance Demon (Jai Courtney), Jay Hernandez) and Killer Crocodile (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).

A sequel, “The Suicide Squad,” was released in 2021 and directed by James Gunn.
