Movie Synopsis
What exactly shaped the real you? The movie will focus on Joey Goner (voiced by Jamie Foxx). This middle school music teacher gets the opportunity of his dreams – to play at the best jazz club in New York. But a small mistake takes him from the streets of New York to a fantastical place called the Great Before. There, souls are trained and will acquire their personality traits and interests before traveling to Earth. The Joy that is determined to want to return to the earth life knew a precocious soul “twenty-two” (Tina Fei dub), twenty-two has not been able to find his interest in human life. As Joey continues to try to show twenty-two the wonderful things about life, he will also learn the answers to some of life’s ultimate questions.

“Soul” is a 2020 animated comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Pete Docter. The movie follows the story of Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx), a middle-school music teacher who dreams of becoming a successful jazz pianist. When he dies in a tragic accident, his soul ends up in a place called the Great Before, where he must team up with a new soul called 22 (voiced by Tina Fey) to find his way back to his body on Earth.

The film was praised for its creative and original concept, stunning animation, and powerful themes about the meaning of life and the importance of pursuing one’s passions. The movie was also noted for its impressive jazz music score, which was composed by Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and jazz musician Jon Batiste.
