Movie Synopsis
With the development of science and technology, human beings have invented a “smart” robot that can detect human brain waves – “prophet”. The “prophet” can detect people’s criminal attempts, so before the criminal commits a crime, he has been arrested and sentenced by the police of the crime prevention organization.
Jon (Tom Cruise played by Tom Cruise) is a director of the crime prevention organization. After successfully preventing a double homicide caused by an affair through the “Prophet”, Jon vaguely felt the secret hidden in this perfect crime prevention system, that is, the Minority Report. It turns out that there are three “prophets” who work together to determine whether a person has attempted murder. When there is a disagreement, the decision will be made according to the principle of the minority submitting to the majority, but in the end if the minority is proved to be correct, a minority report will be kept secretly.
When Jon woke up, he suddenly found that he was the target of his former colleagues. Jon’s only way out is to find the Minority Report that proves his innocence…
Minority Report is a 2002 American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise. The film is based on a short story by Philip K. Dick and is set in Washington, D.C. in the year 2054, where a specialized police department uses a trio of psychics, known as “pre-cogs,” to predict and prevent future crimes.
Cruise plays John Anderton, a detective who becomes the subject of his own department’s investigation when the pre-cogs predict that he will commit a murder in the near future. As Anderton races to clear his name and uncover a conspiracy, he discovers the flaws in the system he has been enforcing.
