Movie Synopsis
In 2012, humans were infected by an unknown virus, and New York became an empty city. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a scientist serving the military and an immune survivor. During the day, he takes his dog Sam to search for food on the streets, uses the radio to find survivors, and works on a cure for the virus in the laboratory; The “night devil” can only come out at night, loses his mind, and will attack everyone.
One day, Sam also contracted the virus and died, and Robert Neville fell into unprecedented loneliness. The film is set in New York City, three years after the virus has decimated the population. Neville is the last known survivor in the city and spends his days searching for a cure to the virus while also trying to avoid the infected. He is accompanied only by his loyal dog, Sam.

As Neville’s isolation and loneliness begin to take a toll on his mental health, he is forced to confront his own humanity and the possibility that he may not be the only survivor left.

“I Am Legend” was praised for Smith’s performance, as well as its visual effects and suspenseful atmosphere. However, the film received criticism for its departure from the source material, Richard Matheson’s novel of the same name, and for its reliance on CGI effects. Despite this, the film was a commercial success, grossing over $585 million worldwide.
