Movie Synopsis
Another year of Christmas is coming, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin, Macaulay Culkin), who was left home for Christmas without leaving home, was on holiday with her family this winter to enjoy their Christmas holidays. Careless parents will certainly not forget to bring Kevin this time, but their forgetful character has not changed. Seeing that the plane was about to take off, the family hurried to the airport. This time Kevin was not forgotten at home, but was forgotten at the airport during check-in, and boarded the flight to New York by accident! When he came to this completely unfamiliar big city for the first time, the clever and mischievous Kevin couldn’t help being secretly afraid. To make matters worse, he unexpectedly ran into those two stupid thieves who were badly repaired by him in his house in the last episode. The two had just escaped from prison and ran into Kevin. Naturally, this time they would have to avenge their shame. So, Kevin’s battlefield moved from his home in the last episode to the Central Park Hotel and Toys R Us in New York!

“Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” is a 1992 American Christmas comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes. It is the second film in the “Home Alone” franchise and stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, who is once again accidentally separated from his family during the Christmas holidays, but this time finds himself lost in New York City.

The film follows Kevin as he uses his wits and resourcefulness to avoid the crooks Harry and Marv, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, who are after him again. Along the way, Kevin meets a friendly toy store employee named Duncan, played by Eddie Bracken, and a homeless woman named Pigeon Lady, played by Brenda Fricker.

Like its predecessor, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” is known for its slapstick humor and clever booby traps that Kevin sets up to protect himself from Harry and Marv. The film also features a heartwarming subplot about Kevin’s newfound friendship with Pigeon Lady and his efforts to help her overcome her fear of people.

The film received mixed reviews from critics upon its release, with some praising its humor and performances while others criticized it for being too similar to the first film. However, it was a commercial success, grossing over $350 million worldwide and becoming the second highest-grossing film of 1992.

Despite the controversy surrounding his personal life, Culkin’s performance as Kevin was once again praised, with many critics noting his ability to carry the film and deliver both comedic and emotional moments. The chemistry between Pesci and Stern as Harry and Marv was also praised, with their bumbling antics and physical comedy providing many laughs.

Overall, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” is a fun and festive holiday movie that continues the adventures of one of the most iconic child characters in cinema history. Its mix of humor, heart, and action make it a family favorite for many during the holiday season.
