Movie Synopsis
Roy Chris Mart (Jim Carrey) and his friend Harry Dunn (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of stupid buddies. The two not only have low IQs, but also cannot find a job. Once, Roy got a temporary job and drove the modern girl Mary Swanson (played by Lauren Hawley) to the airport. Roy fell in love with Mary at first sight, but the identities of the two were very different. Mary boarded the plane, and Roy found that Mary had left a suitcase in the airport terminal. Therefore, in pursuit of true love, Roy decides to drive with Harry to the plane destination mentioned by Mary. He not only wants to return the suitcase, but also pursues Mary. But the suitcase seems to be not so simple. A group of gangsters set their sights on the suitcase, trying to put Roy and others to death. However, Roy’s IQ is unusual, so he escaped the disaster by accident. Can the two idiots reach their destination? A silly and happy journey begins.

Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 American comedy film directed by Peter Farrelly, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Bobby Farrelly and Bennett Yellin. The film stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as two dimwitted but well-meaning friends who embark on a cross-country trip to return a briefcase full of money to its rightful owner.

The film was a commercial success, grossing over $247 million worldwide, and it has become a cult classic and a popular staple of the comedy genre. The film’s humor is often described as slapstick, absurd, and gross-out, and it features many memorable scenes and one-liners. The film also spawned a prequel, a sequel, an animated TV series, and various merchandise.

Dumb and Dumber received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the chemistry between Carrey and Daniels and the film’s comic energy but criticized its juvenile humor and lack of depth.
