Martin (Michael J. Fox) came from the 1980s when he lived in 1955. According to the letter left by his good friend Dr. Amy Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in 1885, Martin found the Dr. time shuttle. Back to the Future Part III is a science fiction film released in 1990, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Mary Steenburgen. It is the third and final installment in the Back to the Future trilogy.
The film picks up where the second film left off, with Marty McFly (Fox) stranded in 1955 after traveling there from the future to prevent a disastrous chain of events. He receives a letter from his friend Doc Brown (Lloyd), who has been stranded in the Wild West of 1885 for the past 70 years. Marty travels back to 1885 to rescue Doc and bring him back to the present day.
In 1885, Marty discovers that Doc has fallen in love with a woman named Clara (Steenburgen) and is planning to stay in the past. However, their plans are complicated by the arrival of Biff Tannen’s great-grandfather, Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen, who seeks revenge on Doc for humiliating his ancestor.
Marty and Doc must work together to outsmart Buford and find a way to return to the present day before it’s too late. Along the way, they encounter a series of challenges and obstacles, including a runaway train that they must stop to prevent it from crashing and destroying the town.
Back to the Future Part III received mixed reviews upon its release but has since become a beloved classic and a fan favorite. It was a box office success, grossing over $244 million worldwide.
